What’s the hardest decision you’ve ever had to make? Why?
I started exercising at the age of 12 (while I was also working hard on my family’s farm in Kentucky) and during my teenage years there were many times that I really wanted to quit so I made a “pact” with my teenage self, that every day I got up in the morning, I would ask myself this question: “if I quit exercising would it make my life better or worse?” Every single time that I asked that question, I always came to the conclusion that I would be better off if I kept training!
Now I’m 61 years old and by making that decision every day (I still ask that question every morning) I am still in very good physical condition and couldn’t imagine not having done that throughout the years! – “The” Trainer Outdoor Training Specialist /Consultant

I look back and am still a little amazed as to why was I able to continue like this as a teenager? Especially when I looked around and I didn’t know anyone who was making that decision! My friends were all about looking to “take it easy and partying!”
