I train myself 100% of the time outside! Since I have switched from the gym to outdoors, I personally feel so much better! I also have found out that because so much of my training now involves “body weight training” that I have had to learn more about my body and less about machines! The main thing that a person doing “outside training” needs to master is body weight training! Let’s say that you are running a trail and decide to stop and do resistance exercise on a big rock (I do this all the time). What you need to be able to do is to “use your body as the resistance!” Why? Because the rock doesn’t move like dumbbells! What has to move is “your body” so you need to understand how to move your body in ways that you will provide that resistance to any part of your body that you choose! #outside #outsidetraining #hoodriver #columbiarivergorge
