Tell us about your first day at something — school, work, as a parent, etc.
Oh my was I scared! I was just a very shy boy(man?) who had grown up on a farm in Kentucky and I’d only been in a hospital when my mom had died of cancer but now this “backwards” back country hick was going to the hospital to do something called, “nursing clinical rotation!”
Well, did eventually go in and made it to my first room with a patient with real problems and was so nervous and thinking, “just 12 more hours to go!” Well, with my teeth rattling and pretty much my entire body shaking, I was happy that all the nursing school wanted me to do was make the bed and talk to my patient!” Well, I was so shy that I really don’t remember what either of us said during those 12 hours but I survived! I couldn’t believe it! Well that was day one with many more to go! – “The” Trainer Outdoor Training Specialist /Consultant- @61!
I was extremely nervous but to look back at it there wasn’t a reason because all they had me do was make the bed! (With hospital corners)
