Posing, especially when it’s “isometric,” (contractions without movement of the joint) is a great way to learn about your body! Example: obliques are naturally built at an angle, so when you pose and contract the “oblique” you will build the muscle into its “natural state,” but if you first attack the oblique with a lot of resistance then it is very easy to have the resistance “applied” at the wrong area (direction) and what you will create, instead of a wonderful natural flow, will be a large “thing” in place of what started out as beautifull “humanly” designed muscle that “flowed” but no more! – “The” Trainer/Inside Out Fitness
