There are many reasons to train outside like fresh air and that there are no gym fees. But what I’m talking about today is that you become free from a large assortment of “rules” by a gym! You know like not being able to train the way you like or not being able to wear the shoes that you came to the gym in! Other things like extra fees at different times! The main thing that a person doing “outside training” needs to master is body weight training! Let’s say that you are running a trail and decide to stop and do resistance exercise on a big rock (I do this all the time). What you need to be able to do is to “use your body as the resistance!” Why? Because the rock doesn’t move like dumbbells! What has to move is “your body” so you need to understand how to move your body in ways that you will provide that resistance to any part of your body that you choose! #outside #outsidetraining #hoodriver #columbiarivergorge
