Only one player in the history of the NBA has scored more points in one game than Miami Heat star Bam Adebayo did Tuesday night.
Adebayo shattered records with a monster 83-point performance against the Washington Wizards on Tuesday, March 10.
Adebayo scored 31 points in the first quarter, 12 in the second, 19 in the third and 21 in the fourth.
Only Wilt Chamberlain, who holds the NBA record with a 100-point game, has ever scored more in a single contest.
In the process of scoring his 83 points, Adebayo broke a record Chamberlain held with Adrian Dantley for most free throws made in a game. Those two sunk 28 from the free throw line; Adebayo made 36 free throws on Tuesday night.
Adebayo’s 83 points were the most scored in the NBA since Kobe Bryant scored 81 in a game in 2006.
