Deer are hoofed, ruminant mammals (family Cervidae) known for their lean bodies, long legs, and, in most males, antlers that are shed and regrown annually. They are herbivores, typically reddish-brown to gray-brown, and are found worldwide, with species ranging from the tiny Pudu to the large Moose. Deer are known for being graceful, fast, and timid, often using their white-tailed flash as a warning signal.
