The American Saddlebred is an elegant, high-stepping American horse breed known for its presence, style, and versatility, excelling in show rings but also used for pleasure riding and driving. Originating in Kentucky, it’s characterized by a proud carriage, arched neck, and animated movement, performing standard gaits (walk, trot, canter) and sometimes two additional gaits (slow gait and rack). They are known for their friendly, people-oriented personalities and are suitable for riders of all levels.
