I advise folks, when deciding what type of training to do, to try everything and toss what doesn’t work! – “The” Trainer Outdoor Training Specialist /Consultant- @61!

What type of training do I currently do? After many years of working out in gyms and doing bodybuilding shows and then Powerlifting events and eventually running over 200 marathons/many half marathons/about 30 ultra marathons, I’ve decided at 61 years of age to continue running but not do many events and no longer doing bodybuilding shows or powerlifting. I also no longer train at a gym (it’s been about 2 years since) and I rarely use weights! I now run mountains and stop and do bodyweight (which I’ve found to give me more movement, stretching and the type of muscles that I want!) exercises on whatever is there like rocks, man made stuff, and pretty much anything and everything that is available! I enjoy this much more than going to a gym! I also use bands a lot! To me, they give me much more than weights! With weights you can’t get nearly as many angles made because they work off of “gravity” which, of course, only pulls in one direction!
So I’ll finish off saying to everybody that I don’t suggest you “copy me” or anyone else! I suggest you try everything and stick with what works best for you! Thanks, “The” Trainer Outdoor Training Specialist /Consultant- @61!
