My cat “Sushi” understood me better than many humans! She was a “Siamese” and was very loving to me (after I got to know her) but she didn’t really warm up to anyone else. Although I was told that most Siamese are pretty much like that!
She was 3 years old in 2001 when I found her in the pound on the coast in Oregon and they had to place her by herself because she absolutely hated all of the other animals! It didn’t seem to matter what kind of animal either! I took her home to Eugene and she spent the first couple of weeks in the closet because she just wouldn’t come out! Eventually she did and then we started getting to know one another.
After a few years she got to the point that, when I was lying on my back, she would go up on my chest and do that “round and round” thing that cats do and then lay on my throat and upper chest until I had to move. I got to where I really liked it when she did that, especially in the winter because she was so warm!
I had her for 13 years until 2014 and then she died of old age! I miss Sushi so much!
