I have a couple of different thoughts on this (more governmental regulation on “disinformation”) and they go in 2 different directions. #1- in many ways, i feel that “regulation” of disinformation is a good thing because folks will be somewhat rest-assured that what they are reading and seeing is an “honest” representation of “facts” surrounding the topic! Now for #2- on the other hand, I don’t want to “take away” the need for folks to check other areas and “sites” about if so-called “facts” are truly facts after all! I feel that some of the “fact checking” must be allocated to the “people” in general… I also feel that if we try to remove that from them (which could never be 100% anyway), then they (people) will see no reason to check on “ANYTHING” at all and that would be, at the very least, a shame because the “people” should never be totally “removed” from the issues of the time that can and do “affect” them and their family and friends!UN announces plan to tackle phenomenon as survey finds people worry particularly about impact on elections
