I’m at a great point in my “fitness life!” How? I can set a goal but not be so consumed by it that I don’t grab and enjoy every great moment on my way to that goal! What? Example: I am running 6000 miles this calendar year to celebrate my 60th birthday! I decided that I am going to keep a daily count but never add it all up! Instead I am going to do my best ever “running through 2024” and not overly concern myself with the total outcome! Why? I believe by doing that I will actually run quite a bit more than 6000 miles! When I turned 50 I ran 5000 miles for that year and reached the 5000th mile on August 29th mid way through a 50K! I am convinced that if I hadn’t kept a perfect “track record” that I would have kept running the last 4 months the way I did the first 8 and would have accomplished much more! How do I know this? Simply because I know me!
