After placing first in my age division in a race on Sunday Orlanda, a client, reminded me of what I had told her a few months back when she had gotten a comparable award. I had told her to go by how she felt during the race and don’t let any awards mean too much. Why? First of all, maybe you were the only one in that category and if so then you only beat yourself! Also, what of all the people that didn’t show up for one reason or another. Basically, was telling her to compare “apples to apples”! You can only really compare yourself to your previous self!
